Challenge: Make product information easily available on the web
Ainsworth, a leading forest products company, wanted to strengthen its marketing efforts by showcasing product information on a new web site.
Our challenge was to develop a site that would enable Ainsworth customers to access the tools and information they need quickly and easily. Key considerations for these users (busy builders and contractors) included avoiding visual clutter, intuitive (no-nonsense) navigation, strong search functions and a consistent download centre.
We streamlined access to product information by highlighting solutions for specific groups, including dealers, builders, original equipment manufacturers, homeowners and specifiers. Responding to the growing demand for mobile access to information, we also developed a mobile-friendly version of the site.
Our Ainsworth client required the site to be modular and expandable, and easy to update. We built a powerful administration system that enables the client to manage the large amount of content and the hundreds of downloadable documents.
Since its launch in Month 2009, ainsworthengineered.com has become a highly effective customer resource. The site also provides corporate information, but by putting the focus on customer solutions, Ainsworth has been able to reduce conventional marketing costs and gain the advantages of internet marketing.
